About the Role
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Java Back-end Engineer to join our development team. The Java Back-end Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable, and secure back-end systems for our platform. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Java programming language, back-end architecture, and experience in building complex, distributed systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure back-end systems using Java programming language
• Collaborate with front-end engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to design and implement new features and enhancements
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and coding standards
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in production and staging environments
• Optimize back-end systems for performance, scalability, and reliability
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in back-end development, and identify opportunities to apply new techniques to the platform
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in Java back-end development
• Strong understanding of back-end architecture, design patterns, and programming concepts
• Experience with web frameworks such as Spring or Play
• Experience with distributed systems, messaging systems, and APIs
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra
• Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
